David Sillaman is the founder and senior pastor of REACTION Church located in Manassas, Va.  My wife Barb and I make our home in Fauquier, VA.  This is my story...



REACTION Church started with a calling from God on April 3rd, 2005, while in prayer one Sunday at church. I felt God speak to me about building a church. Not just any church, a church with a very specific purpose and method to follow.The calling from God went ignored until 2008.



Then again in 2008 God called me again to build a church. A year later during a drive to Manassas, VA this calling was heard again by both my wife Barb and I. Again this calling went ignored. We simply felt, more specifically I felt I couldn't be used by God, and that he must be mistaken or I and We heard him wrong. I simply felt I had too much blackwater.Finally in January 2011, again God called and reaffirmed his calling to build this church in Manassas, VA.



This call was confirmed by another pastor this time. Broken to this world, and after prayer and fasting my wife Barbara and I decided to listen to the calls from God and move forward in obedience. Thus in January 2011, REACTION Church was officially created. We are still in our infancy birthing stage and have a long way to go, however, we know with absolute certainity this is God's will.  God called Nehemiah to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, God has called REACTION Church to rebuild walls as well. Our walls are not made of stone. Our walls are made of people. I am called to lead this church of rebuilding walls by helping people REACT To Purpose in their life.
